HISTORY
In the past years, the Grants Pass Christmas Parade has relied on the generosity of sponsors, business support, donations and volunteers within our
community. Many years ago the city relinquished responsibility of the Christmas parade and community members took on the challenges to keep this event ongoing. Efforts to bring the "Spirit of Christmas" to the kids and families of our great community. This effort comes at a cost. Each year we must raise funds and accept donations from community members, which help pay the cost of $800 which is paid to the city to host this event; $8,500 for traffic control to have roads closed during the parade, and funding to cover the cost of insurance. Other cost we carry covers advertising, trophy’s and security, and many more items. Without the support of the community this event will not be possible.
